What’s summer without some serious grilling? One of the best parts of summer is firing up the grill on a regular basis. For some quick and easy weeknight grilling action, chicken and veggie kabobs hit the spot. Marinated in a mixture of honey and soy sauce, these loaded skewers from Yummly magazine make for a healthy and delicious dinner.
The other evening, while at one of our favorite local spots, we ordered classic Buffalo wings, they were deep-fried and coated in a thick, cheesy, garlicy sauce. In one word – Delicious, but as you may know i always trying to put a new twist on the classics, including burritos, tacos, and Buffalo wings, for a fresh dinner idea. By now, one would think I knew just about every basic thing in the kitchen, and yet every day I find myself learning something new.
I am a self proclaimed addict of peanut butter, nuts, dried fruits and pretty much anything that can be formed into a granola bar shape. Maybe it’s an ingrained snacking habit from the countless bars eaten between meals but I nearly always have a granola bar or two close at hand. Loaded with yummy ingredients, these homemade chewy granola bars from King Arthur Flour are the perfect snack and can be easily customized to taste with your own favorite fruits and nuts.
They say “Man can not live by bread alone” but I bet if you added some cheese to it you could! Who doesn’t love cheese and bread? They just go together so well. And what is even better than just cheese and bread? Warm bread with cheese melted on top. so easy, so cheesy, so good, you should only make these bread sticks from Food Magazine when surrounded by plenty of people to help you eat them. Otherwise, you may end up eating all by yourself and no one to stop you.
Came home after work today, after much mulling about dinner. Decided to “sacrifice” some time and check out my recipe bookmarks. I came across a tasty looking recipe for baked zucchini sticks on King Arthur Flour that sounded like a tasty way to enjoy the Sweet Onion Dip. Another wow, Wow, WOW! Love the taste, the crispy texture and that great crunch sound from the slightly dehydrated zucchini. I guarantee even picky eaters will love these! Serve them as an appetizer or as a side dish.
