Happy FRIDAY!!!
I think Fridays need to be a National Holiday. All day Friday should be happy hours, happy prices, happy people! I also think that Fridays need to come with a sweet weekend recipe because, as we all know, weekend calories don’t count. And when life gives you apples…i know you probably wanted to say Apple Pie, but pretend for this time and say Apple rings.
I know what you’re thinking. “ No way, another cookie recipe ?” Well, to tell you the truth, When it comes to cookies, in all this pre-Christmas excitement I kind of lost track myself. Thats right, i’m sure you’ll hear a lot of excuses, but this Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies from Cooking classy is a great one lol.

Christmas is approaching. Have you noticed? Evergreens,striped mint candy and sugar cookies are suddenly in high demand. Men in red suits roam the streets, and bargain hunters crowd the stores. Yard displays and flickering Christmas lights brighten the night. The clerks at the checkout counter wear hats they would feel silly in at any other time of year.

So. Sugar cookies. Is it just me or does a plate piled high with cut-out cookies look both elegant and homespun at the same time? There are a billionty sugar cookie recipes, but it should be no surprise to you that when I saw saw these cookies on Make Bake Celebrate I new I had to keep them. And while drop cookies are wonderful, it’s nice having a recipe for cut-out cookies in your repertoire, plus this one is fast, easy, with only a few ingredients and would be great with tea or left for Santa.
There are many fabulous Christmas specials and movies that I love to watch throughout the holiday season, but nothing quite compares to The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, both the cartoon and the Jim Carrey version. I remember eagerly awaiting for it to come on television when I was a child and cuddling up under the blankets with some hot chocolate.
