There is something about the words strawberry and cheesecake that just makes my day. I love anything that has to do with cheesecake. I mean who doesn’t? So imagine my delight when I was scrolling through Pinterest a couple of weeks ago and came across this little gem from Food Magazine. This is probably my favorite fruit & whipped cream type of salad right now. It’s delicious, easy to make and guaranteed to be a hit!
Strawberries bid adieu to winter, ushering in the freshness of Spring and Orange Strawberry Salad is a delicious way to say hello to spring—going green, fresh (and red). So beautiful and easy to prepare and it can be served in smaller bowls rather than tossed in one large bowl, with dressing applied individually. When it comes to salad dressing, there are a lot of issues. There are too many options and there is no reason to pay $4-5 for ambiguously-labeled salad dressing when you can easily make your own healthy version for half the cost and this orange dressing recipe is just that case.
Lunch is such a challenge for me. You know, i often forget to eat lunch because i get working and by the time i realize what time it is – it is time for dinner, or on the other hand sometimes when i get home earlier and want a nice fresh meal it seems so difficult to come up with something quick to make. i find that having soup or pasta salad in the fridge is the only solution to my dilemma. The best part of pasta salad is you can make a huge batch of it and eat it all week for lunch. there is enough going on in the dishes so you don’t get sick of them.
When you were a kid did you ever read those “Choose Your Own Adventure” books? You know, If you choose to enter the creepy abandoned house that says Do Not Enter then turn to page 56, or If you choose to listen to your mother and go home for dinner turn to page 34…” basicaly you choose alternate endings. Well in this recipe you can play “Choose Your Own Ingredients” game, fun right ? because you can use what ever ingredients you want or have on hand at the time.
Maybe is the Christmas, maybe is the weather, or Meatless Thursdays i know it supposed to be on Monday, but does it really mean when you have craving for yummy salads that you can pair it with a good wine and toasted baguette.
So if you like mozzarella, cherry tomato and you love avocados too only thing left is to look at just a spoonful of recipe and toast a baguette and dinner is served.
PLUS it’s superrrr easy to make- the only recipes worth making, right?!
