I think Fridays need to be a National Holiday. All day Friday should be happy hours, happy prices, happy people! I also think that Fridays need to come with a sweet weekend recipe because, as we all know, weekend calories don’t count. Christmas is approaching. Have you noticed? Evergreens,striped mint candy and sugar cookies are suddenly in high demand. Men in red suits roam the streets, and bargain hunters crowd the stores. Yard displays and flickering Christmas lights brighten the night. The clerks at the checkout counter wear hats they would feel silly in at any other time of year.
So. Sugar cookies. Is it just me or does a plate piled high with cut-out cookies look both elegant and homespun at the same time?
