Brace for it, Winter is coming — sort of.
Woke up this morning to the first snow of the winter. Any one else get snow?? (Un) Fortunately its not settled except on the tops.Bitter cold though. At least a good portion of time i have been enjoying the beautiful outdoors lately! Another thing I have been enjoying are chicken wings (awesome segue, huh?).
Am I hearing – “Can you stop being such an evil temptress of food sin, and tell us about it ?”

The truth is the best fried or baked chicken recipes there are all have a touch of sugar. Sweet and savory just blur the lines. Variations of this recipe are all over the internet, however, Chung-Ah Rhee recipe version from Damn Delicious take this to a whole new level of crispy-from-the-oven goodness. Sweet and just a little spicy, these wings really hit the spot!
You are still looking at baked brown sugar chicken wings with roasted red pepper cream
sauce? Are you? ….aren’t you?!
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- FOR THE ROASTED RED PEPPER CREAM SAUCE
- 1/3 cup roasted red pepper, chopped
- 2 ounces goat cheese
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
