I ran 5 miles yesterday because I had this for dinner last night. I ran another 5 miles this morning because I had this for dinner last night. Let me tell you this story from the beginning. Sometimes you get home and want a nice fresh-baked meal but don’t have the time to devote to cooking. Well, actually you have time — there are still 2 hours till dinner — you just don’t want to spend it cooking, right? So that’s where this awesome Chicken Fettuccine Bake from a dash of sanity comes in. The end result is a super creamy, thick sauce that tastes great and fills you right up on a busy weeknight.This dish is worth the pain of running.

Chicken Fettuccine Bake by Sandra


  • ½ lb of fettuccine, boiled to al dente and drained
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) chicken broth
  • ½ cup half-and-half
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • 1 ½ cups of cooked chicken, cubed or shredded
  • ½ cup oil packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained and cut into thin strips
  • 2 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese for topping
