My. Word. They’re soft, they’re chewy, they’re buttery. They’re perfect little pillowy pretzel bites covered with a fabulously crunchy cinnamon sugar crust and finally — the pièce de résistance — they’re dipped in THE most heavenly Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce ever. If you want the BEST mini appetizer- dessert-snack EVER This is it. Seriously.
Ingredients
- 1 (1/4 oz) pkg active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water, 110 degrees
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp packed light-brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 to 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 3 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- Coating
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
- Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 2 Tbsp heavy cream
