I don’t know how you feel about Cracker Barrel restaurant, but around here, they are a whole big thing, and when I get a chance to eat at Cracker Barrel it’s always such a treat for me. Their menu has so many of my favorite country dishes that it’s really hard for me to decide on what to order. And every time we go, there is dessert a perfect square of Double Fudge Coca Cola Cake with a scoop of ice cream on top.
So if you are lucky enough to be there on a day they are serving this one, be sure to order it. The cake is absolute PERFECTION. Chocolatey, kind of dense, kind of fluffy. - 1 cup Coca Cola
- 1/2 cup oil (I used applesauce)
- 1 stick butter
- 3 Tblsp. cocoa
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Frosting:
- 1 stick butter
- 3 Tblsp. cocoa
- 6 Tblsp. cream or milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla

For as many times as my husband and I have been to Cracker Barrel, I actually had room for desert and decided to take a chance on the Coca Cola Fudge cake. OMG!!! What a wonderful way to end Valentine’s Day than with a nice, moist, beautiful chunk of that chocolate cake! Needless to say I was VERY pleased!! Thank you for putting this recipe
